Luke Marks, 6, of Lantana, swimming for the Heritage Aquatic Team, set a boys 6-and-under state record in the 25-yard butterfly with 21.50 seconds in the Broward North Sizzler on March 18.

This weekend, USA Swimming & Gold Coast Swimming brought out the best for the Broward County / Palm Beach County Sizzler!
Luke Marks swam against a tough field and came out with his personal best times with three FIRSTS and one SECOND. In the 25-yard freestlye, Luke placed first at 19.95 seconds (-0.63), in the 25-yard butterfly, another first place finish at 21.50 (-3.9), and a screaming FIRST PLACE finish in the 25-yard breast stroke at 24.80 seconds (-2.35). Luke came in second in the 25-yard back stroke with a personal-best time of 25.80 seconds (-2.56).
• ESA Palm Beach - Final Shot of the Season!

Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) held the last contest of the season on Saturday 12th at Juno Pier - Kite Beach. The surf was solid shoulder NE swell with semi-clean conditions.
Luke faced his toughest competition so far this season. Four surfers dropped down a division to post ten surfers in the 11-and-under Novice Menehune Division. Luke placed third overall, and finished in first place for the division this season with two firsts and one third.
• Jupiter Fall Classic Pro-Am

Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) held the Jupiter Fall Classic Pro-Am on Saturday and Sunday, January 29th - 30th. The surf was solid five foot North ground swell. Luke placed first in the Novice Menehune Division. Most of the top Florida professional surfers competed in the contest.

Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) Palm Beach held a contest Sunday the 16th at Boca Raton Pavillion. The surf was four foot and clean. Luke competed in the Novice Menehune Division (11 and under) and placed first overall.
