6-year-old Sets State Record

Luke Marks, 6, of Lantana, swimming for the Heritage Aquatic Team, set a boys 6-and-under state record in the 25-yard butterfly with 21.50 seconds in the Broward North Sizzler on March 18.

The previous record was 21.93 seconds. Marks also took first place in the 25-yard freestyle (19.95, -0.63) and 25-yard breast stroke (24.80, -2.35). Luke came in second in the 25-yard back stroke with a personal-best time of 25.80 seconds (-2.56).
