This has truly been an exciting and rewarding experience for everyone involved, and I could not imagine doing all of this without the support that I have received from all over Rome, Floyd County and beyond. I feel so blessed to have taken this journey with all of you here, and even those that are not here to join us tonight. You have truly touched me in ways I never imagined, and I will never forget all the hard work and sacrifice that you all have put into this race.
I will never forget the long hours, the sleepless nights, or those long rides on the road putting up signs, even in the pouring rain. I am constantly reminded of the role that family and friends have played in my life, and I am forever grateful for the unwavering support and unconditional love that you all have given me. As I promised in the beginning of this campaign, I will bring my values, my integrity, and my strong work ethics to this position every day that I am honored to serve the citizens of Rome and Floyd County.
I especially want to thank my family, Victoria Brooks and all her family, and the multitude of other friends, volunteers, and supporters that worked so hard in making my campaign a success! Also, thank you to the Rome VFW Post 4911 and all my financial contributors because without all of you, this would not have been possible. There were days when I felt like giving up, but all those involved were there to remind me that this is a cause worth fighting for, and you can never give up on doing the right thing, as difficult as it may seem sometimes.
In the next four years, I will serve the people of this county with the utmost respect and dignity, because Rome and Floyd County has given me the best home imaginable, and I am honored to have the opportunity to give back to this community that I so dearly love.

I would like to share with you all a few verses of scripture that have been comforting to me throughout this campaign.
“For I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” -- Jeremiah 29:11
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him who have been called according to his purpose” -- Romans 8:28
